"Jewellery I love, now offered to you at affordable prices!"- Sunni Harichandra, Founder of Matana The Label (MTL)

I've always been a jewellery lover—there's something about how even the smallest hoop earrings can totally transform an outfit. Beyond that, I see jewellery as a reminder from God of the many blessings in my life. Life itself is such a precious gift! That’s actually how I came up with the name “Matana,” which means “gift” in Biblical Hebrew. I believe the jewellery we wear should reflect how truly blessed we are.

The only challenge? Finding quality jewellery that I loved, that would last, and that didn’t cost a fortune. For years, the balance of design, durability, and affordability has been a challenge. I wanted trendy pieces with a hint of edge, but they had to be both durable and affordable.

With a bit of an entrepreneurial drive, I began to think that I could curate the jewellery I love and make it accessible to everyone! I began jotting down ideas for a jewellery brand of my own, reached out to manufacturers, and before I knew it, I was hand-picking the very first pieces for MTL!

After sourcing the right materials to ensure the best quality, I officially launched MTL in March 2025.

At MTL, we believe that durable, water-safe jewellery with a hint of edge should be accessible to everyone.
